THE SOCIETY OF PETER
STUDENT GOVERNANCE
Student representation, leadership and Academy affairs.
The Twelve Societies are Saint Aurelius Academy’s principal student organisations. They oversee major areas of student leadership, scholarship, culture, welfare and extracurricular life.
They are not secret magical orders, religious organisations or medieval guilds. Although their names reflect the Academy’s historic Catholic roots, modern Saint Aurelius is a secular institution.
Students may participate in ordinary clubs and activities, but the Twelve Societies are the Academy’s most established and prestigious student bodies.
